About the Author
Hi! I’m glad you’re here.
I’m Meredith, and you’d think I’d be better prepared to write an “About the Author” blurb since it’s been a lifelong dream of mine to get a book published, but I’ve never asked myself to summarize myself when practicing answering interview questions in the shower, so. Here we are.
I live in Michigan, managing IT projects during the day, writing adventures and romance at night, and taking care of my two chaos goblins cleverly disguised as human children always. I am hypercompetitive and incredibly organized. I am exceptionally awful at video games, and cannot grasp the rules of poker for the life of me. My physical TBR contains books that I have moved across the country (twice) and still not read.
A non-exhaustive list of things I love: Orchestral scores and musical theater, the Oxford comma, competitive jigsaw puzzling, running, sidewalk chalk, dragons, found family, baking bread, complex characters with complex relationships, going on side quests, having been radicalized by basic human decency, the Newsies, and PBS
An assortment of things I dislike, ranging from “find mildly irritating” to “would use one of a limited set of wishes granted by an all-powerful being to eliminate forever,” in no particular order: Generative AI in the creative arts, stepping in something wet when I don’t have spare socks, chewing noises, when someone leaves two chips in the bottom of the bag and puts it back in the pantry, feeling personally victimized by the passage of time when my phone reminds me of something that happened X years ago
